A message from Field Hockey Alberta:
Dear Coaches:
Field Hockey Canada are launching the first part of their new Coaching Plan in Calgary February 4th and 5th with the first ever Community Coach Course.
The CC attachment(Microsoft Word document) explains the content of the course if you are interested, and the Overview attachment explains their whole program which will eventually replace the Technical levels.
The course is aimed at parents, players who have never coached before but would be interested in volunteering at a community level. No prior field hockey experience is required.
As field hockey grows in Alberta, especially at the grass roots level we will be looking for more and more community coaches to be a part of our leagues and programs, if you have any interest in working with juniors I urge you to consider taking this course even if you have already done your level one, or played field hockey before.
The course details follow, if you would like to register please respond to me by January 27th 2006. Fees will be due at the course and payable to 'Field Hockey Canada' as they are hosting this inaugural course.
Dates: Saturday 4th February and Sunday 5th February.
Times: Saturday 4th February 9am - 1.00pm at the Holiday Inn McLeod

Cost: $50 payable to Field Hockey Canada (Please note that future
courses are likely to cost $70)
Accommodation: For those wanting to register who are out of town, special rates ($79 per room) are being held at the Holiday Inn on McLeod trail, but you must book by January 23rd if you want to make the most of the rates. To book contact the hotel: 403.287.2700 and quote 'Field Hockey Canada'.
