The following Saracens attended the recent Golden Oldies World Hockey Festival held in Rosario,Argentina from September 23-30:
A total of 99 teams and 1400 players from all round the world converged on Rosario (population: 1.5 million people) for this great event.
Games were played on Monday,Wednesday and Friday (mostly 2 games per day). Other rest days were for sightseeing,shopping and other local activities such as visiting an estanchia here we saw gauchos performing incredible feats of horsemanship,folk dancing, a game of polo and all the while experiencing the Argentine hospitality of drinking cervezas, vino tinto and eating the fantastic beef !
There was great camaraderie amongst the different teams and many friendships renewed and made.
A fantastic week of hockey,fun and friendship.Most players extended their time in Argentina before or after the hockey.
