Sally Bell in Calgary

FHA is delighted to welcome the Women's National Team Coach to Alberta. From her last post with the Irish Women’s team, Sally joined Field Hockey Canada in June 2005. She has seen the women’s team through some tough International fixtures, recently finishing 8th in the Commonwealth Games in Australia.

Sally will present two seminars on Friday 26th May, the first from 6pm to 7pm focused at athletes and parents will concentrate on an overview of the National Program in Canada. The second 7pm to 8pm will be for coaches only and look at recent trends and developments in International Hockey. Coaches are invited to write down any particular areas they would like to see covered or questions when they register.

Saturday 26th May is a two hour session for coaches that will look at tactical and technical aspects of the game. Coaches are invited to write down any particular areas they would like to see covered or questions when they register.

Sally will be working with Alberta's U23 team on Saturday 3pm to 5pm and Sunday 2pm to 4pm and the U18 team on Sunday morning from 8am to 10am. All Coaches are welcome to observe these sessions. It is a rare chance to see National Level Coaching on our home turf!
